Good afternoon, I'm finding that I need a little help with a new purchase as it's a departure from the normal items that I collect, normally Imperial EK's.

This one has caught my eye but I need a little help in making an informed decision. It has a replacement ribbon that much I know and from what I can tell looking at others on forums etc it looks good to me.

Please can anyone help me with this one. As always I thank everyone for any help that you may give.

Thanks for the vote of confidence but I don't really know.
It does look good to me. It seems to have a look of age to it.
I especially like the oxidation on the soldering on the small ring and the
patine to worn high points of the beading.

Just my opinion.

It has arrived today and so I have taken a couple of quick pictures of it. It has had a replacement ribbon added to it which is fine at the moment but I will search for authentic ribbon at some point and who knows I may get lucky.

Manufacturers of these crosses were only AWS from Berlin and Zimmermann from Pforzheim, who made almost all crosses (large font). This variant has missing Ü points on the word FUR which I understand is a rare variant of this cross.
As far as I've been able to ascertain the Militaer-Verdienstkreuz 2 Klasse Mecklenburg-Schwerin 1914 was awarded a total of 76,615 times.
