Article about: Hello all, I was looking for a s98/05 bayonet years ago but moved on to other things when I couldnt find one in the right condition for the right price. This one popped up last month out of

    Thanks for your comments John, Glenn and Harry. Given that this year marks 100 years since the start of the Great War, I have a sneaking suspicion all WW1 items are going to go up a little in price.

    Mine was given to me by the widow of the vet who brought
    it back from the trenches in ww1 as a 16th birthday gift.
    It is the one piece of my collection that I can guaranty
    I will never sell.

    I love that display photo. I'd love to get my hands on a Pickelhaube but I haven't seen one for the right price and I'm not sure it would last long with the humidity around here.

    Nice 98/05 in sawback agree harder to find maker. nice piece. I have one 98/05 in Weimer blued condition with ground sawback dated 15 I like the 98/05's . timothy
