    Gentlemen, please.....stick to posting Imperial medals/awards on this thread (unless an Imperial group has a TR piece amongst its grouping )..no individual or all TR groups !.......Thank you.
    Walkwolf, thats a great collection you have there, you are right prior to 1933, as most Landes/states had some if not a lot of independence upto 1918, this attitude perculated down into the ranks and so most men from states other than Prussia usually gave presidence to their own state awards (especially in Bavaria and Saxony), even over the Iron cross ! I think after 1933, it was down to mindset, have you tried to alter a senior persons ways/outlook !

    militarymania, nice 5 medal bar, especially like the 2nd class Bavarian merits cross ...is the last one the entry into Austria medal ? a so-called 'flower wars' medal...
