Default My "new " "Hate" Belt

Many THANKS to a fellow member who identified the buckle. It's made from a German enlisted man's brown leather belt with the addition of a French 2nd Empire Officer's buckle. There are about 60 various German buttons and a couple cockades. The improvised keychain hook looks like a sword hanger and is marked DRGM. I hope you all like it as much as I.

I've always thought these belts were fascinating! Nice pick up!

A nice belt, but I just don't like the way they are referred to as 'Hate' belts. I doubt if the soldiers of 100 years ago thought of them as being such. I'm sure that they saw them as nothing more than a souvenir belt.
