    My "New" S98/05 Bayonet

I already owned three of these (one a sawback) I've posted here previously, but when i found this one this past weekend at my favorite indoor/outdoor flea market I couldn't resist! It's made and marked by F. Herder - Solingen and is Bavarian used, evident from the crown/L over the 15 date on the spine. I think the oil hole is rather odd though, large and perfectly round. This is by far the nicest of any I've seen before. (I got the medal bar the same day from a different seller and have posted pictures of it elsewhere on the forum.)

Every time I see one of these Amberg marked bayos/rifles I get a kick, because Amberg, Germany has been my home for the past two years.

    Cheers,
