Default My second post war PLM, cased.

Gentlemen, picked up this rather splendid post war(WW2) St u L made "Pour le Merite", slightly later in production than my first PLM from the same company, around the mid 1960's I would guess, as it appears St u L tidied up the die and got rid of the wing flaw on the seven o'clock clock eagle's left wing........which was evident on the earlier pieces. It came complete with a case, bearing the "H.J.Wilm" Berlin on the inside top pillow, looks good with PLM, but is probably reproduction.....Notice the award has slight damage to some of the tips of the Maltese cross, this does not detract from its appearance, but IMO gives it some character !
    Prost ! Steve.

"The German Army is the perfectly adapted, perfectly running Machine. The difference is that the Germans are organised with a view to War...with the cold, hard, practical and business-like purpose of winning victories."
