Well Jake, We don't do appraisals here for a number of reasons, but since you know their price on the collectors guild, search out some other sites that specialize in Indian Wars period artifacts and you'll get a general idea.

IF you decide to clean these up, and are unfamiliar with the process, I would suggest searching conservator ways to properly clean them.. They need to be delicately cared for and cleaned with proper cleaning materials that will not damage the leather or soles..

Soft bristle horse hair brushes and chamois cloths can wipe of some of the surface dust and dirt.

Saddle soap, and renaissance wax are some of the products we use at the Museum I am curator at to clean some of our Indian Wars Period items,, But once again do some research and try your cleaning methods first on another pair of boots or leather so that you don't damage the originals..

Hi man , thanks for all of the information
Im planning to find a new home for these historic boots as i only collect german militaria 1933 1945 , these boots were pure luck finding them.

Is it something you would like to add to the museum if so please send me a pm
Otherwise i will put them for sale or trade to make a collector or other historian happy with it

Thank you very much for the offer on the boots.. I will have to respectfully decline your offer to accept the boots into the museum system.. We are unfortunately restricted by accepting donations and or purchases,, but I am sure that there are other members here who will be happy to add them to their collection..

Just a suggestion,, if you want to sell them, I would not clean them,, leave that to the new owner.. Good luck in selling them, I don't think you will have any problems
