    Harvest,

That has to be one of the best dug finds that i've seen for WWI. You are a very lucky person to be able to locate a find such as that.
I'm just wondering if that 'k' is a regimental designation? IR88 maybe?

Anton thats very kind of you !!, and it is a marvelous find, i just wish i was the person that found it. Our friend Harvest was the lucky devil, therefore i pass your congratulations onto him by proxy, Harvest, i would not have used Linseed oil, its ok for wood and such like but not really for metal and paint, most oils tend to soften paint if used regularly, plus they are a dirt and dust attractant, you helmets need a coat of wax, it seals the surfaces and enhances the paint colour plus helps to prevent further rusting

i know that wax could be better but i don't have a to home and rust come faster when they are on air !!
so for the moment it will be like that to pretect them !
i'm gonna put some pics of some helmets on the afternoon !!
    somebody want to buy once?

Yes i agree. Renaissance wax is the best thing to use on everything. Even on paper and photos. Harvest is it possible to post photos of the other finds as well? Such as ammo pouches, canisters, canteens etc etc?
