Hello again members. I have another find for today. What is your opinion on this set? Is it conventional for the document to be entirely written by hand?
Thanks in advance.

Chris, this set looks to be O.K. I have seen EK award documents of all kinds, all handwritten, part printed/handwritten, all printed, some are very decorative, some are bland, still, all are nice to have !... it all seems to hinge on company/battalion/regiment prefrences.....most are different ! nothing is conventional when it comes to Imperial EK's !
Hope that helps, I am sure other "Imperials" will be along soon to add to the thread.......
Prost ! Steve.
Thanks Steve. I got it. I'm glad you are always around here and help inexperienced members like me

I like the set too Chris. I am in total agreement with Steve regarding the huge variety of award citations, from the very simple to the most ornate. I would like to see some pics of the ribbon when you get the chance because from the images provided I'm not convinced by it. The cross looks good, is it marked?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
The cross and case are very nice.
I will defer to others concerning the document as I have no expertise at all with paper items.

I would say is the second. I just can't think of any use of such small piece.
