    the guy was told these troops are french, but i think they are portuguese.
    Can you tell what nationality they are?

    Hi Nuno,

    I tend to agree with you on this photo. The chaps look more Hispanic than French. They could be cavalry, but i believe that they appear to be wearing crossed rifles on some of the caps and collars and this would make them Dragoons. The uniforms and belts do appear to be of Portuguese issue too, so that's my guess!

    Not really mate, I don't think they're KM though. I'd hazard a guess at the top one being a midshipmans epaulette and the other possibly a Lt.Commander, but that's all it is, a guess. Of what countries Navy, I don't know, U.S. maybe?
