    Hi Darren,
It's really hard to judge that STAR from the photos. Originals of these were made by a few different makers
so there are some variations in pins, catches, enameling and quality. There are also fakes of these being made.

I do not own one for you to compare against so I have added this link to another forum that shows several
    different examples.----

Darren, as Greg has said, difficult to give an opinion on this Star, would need better photographs...it looks to be a "painted" type (Turkish made), see this thread here on our site https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/imper...s-x-2-a-18706/, where the "Star" is discussed and examples are shown, fom my own "salty" Turkish one to exquisite German produced varients. Greg, I have no problems with links to other sites, as long as it is for the benefit of our members, and this link clearly is...thanks for showing.
    Prost ! Steve.

    Gents,

Can anyone comment on this one, please. I do not know if its original nor the marker. Thanks in advance!

OTTER76, a nice original piece, probably made in the twenties, a private purchase Jewellers piece (hence no markings), silver washed (now sadly worn/polished off), similiar pin/hinge and fastner to observed same period made Iron Cross 1st class, probably German or Austrian made. These awards have been observed with vertical and horizontal fastenings/pins, and even with a suspension ring attached ! (for ribbon attachment on a bar). Prost ! Steve.
