    This is a FAKE commonly called the "Muffin Crown" fake
    and is definately one to stay away from.

    There are more fakes out there than there are real ones these days.

    I think the box that goes with it is fake as well !

    I totally agree.....That is why these types of threads are really important to the members, before any purchase of any 1870 EK, if you are not 100% (and that would include me), ask, post photos....they are a big commitment financially to your collection, one has to get it right, thanks again Greg for an informative post, im sure theres more to add......E-Bay is a wash with these copies in one form or another.....and they are selling !
