This seems to be a very nice haube. Strange there are no other comments on this one... Do you have pics of the inside, liner, stamps...?

The liner is pretty frail. Draw string is missing and some of the
tabs are ready to fall off. It 's only mark is 25R . 25th reserve
infantry. which I was told was part of X corps.

Very nice indeed. I would also like to state that your EK's are very impressive. Thanks for posting and do you have any other head gear in your collection?

    Thank you.

This is my only Haulb. There are a few that I would get my hands
on but but these things are really out of my price range. It took me almost a year to find the one that
I do have, at a price I could afford.-----I work with a really small
budget. One maybe two Eks a year is my limit.

I've been pretty lucky. I've just happened to be at the right
spot at the right time to get some of the more unusual variations.
Plus I've been doing this for a while.

That is the key, experience and time, it takes one to get the other.

    Chopperman,
a nice example of a model 1895 Pickelhaube, conforming to 1897 regs by the addition of the Reichs-kokarde. 25th Reserve Infantry Regiment (parent regiment,Infanterie-Regt. Von Lutzow. 1st Rheinisches. Nr 25, formed 18-12-1813. ) garrisoned at Aachen, attached to, at start of the Great War, the 15th Reserve Division, being in turn attached to the 30th Reserve Infantry Brigade, under the umbrella of the 4th Army under the command of Generaloberst (Generalfeldmarschall from 1.8.16) Archduke Albrecht von Wurttemberg. Brief history :- 1914, Sedan and Champagne regions. 1915, East of the Somme at Tahure, & Aisne. 1916, Battle of the Somme especially around Flaucourt, relieved Dec. 1917,Somme/Artois then July to Galicia at Brezezany to face the Russian 'Brusilov' offensive, Dec back to France. 1918 , Verdun sector, July in battle of Arras, Nov in the line at Limont-Fontaine. i hope i have given you some good regimental history to go with a nice helmet.
