Has anyone seen an original Blue Max and did J. Godet & sons make these? Where do you find the maker marks and what are they worth?? How rare are Originals??
Does anyone have any pictures??
Thanks,
John

Hi Jonno,
Don't know if this helps, but there is a link at the bottom of the page to Godet made crosses that you can click on.

Hi John,
The pour le merite is a fairly rare award although i believe there are a couple for sale on emedals at present. The value varies greatly dependant on a number of factors such as when the order was produced ( these were awarded and manufactured over quite an extended period) the base metal that the award was made from, whether or not it is attributed etc. I think there may be a previous thread regarding these somewhere on the forum. Worth doing a search anyway.
best wishes
Robin
How much are they? About the same as a Ritter....

Perhaps he means Ritterkreuz (knight`s cross).
JEDEM DAS SEINE
I could have bought one for £450 when I was 15 years old.....But that kind of money was out of the question at the time...
Cheers, Ade.
