Article about: hi friends, Just got this one in and with so many fakes and repros out there i just not sure what to make of it. No markings. Price paid \\$825 and returnable. So please be the judge ether of

    Just got this one in and with so many fakes and repros out there i just not sure what to make of it. No markings. Price paid $825 and returnable. So please be the judge ether of my foolishness or luckiness.

    I hope someone with some real experience will give an opinion.

    For me, ------and I am no expert. I don't have a good feeling about it.
    The only one sided PLMs that I believe are accepted as original I believe
    were made by Meybauer. The shape of the heads and tail feather details
    do not look like what I would expect to see from that maker.

    If I recall correctly, these were made of gilded and marked Silver. The brass corrosion on this one is not a "good sign"...

    I haven't seen a brass one either :-/
    The ones I've seen was either gold plated silver or (hollow) gold !!
