    Default Prussian Kurassier helmet

Dress helmet for enlisted ranks of regiments number 3,4,5, 7 and 8.
No maker found, only size 55 stamped on rear edge. I know the cockades are smaller than normal, but they look original to me.
This was a legacy from an old friend who has passed on. It needed some serious cleaning, but I am pleased with the results.

    Hi Bob,

A very nice looking Kurassier helmet. It's actually a service helmet that was worn out in the field prior to the introduction of the wartime steel model in 1915 that had the gray steel trim work on them. Congratulations on acquiring it! It will bring you good memories of your late friend.

    Best Regards,

    Alan
