Gents, IMO not of the Imperial era, the "Cuirass" does not have the features of a the heavy cavalry breast plates (Cuirass) worn by the Cuirassiers and heavy cavalry units of the German Confederation. Armoured gloves not worn in Imperial Prussian/German times, (1870-1918). IMO from an earlier time, I am not knowledgable on arms and armour before 1871, although at a rough guess your items (if genuine) could be from the 16th/17th Century, and might well be of German origin. Have a look below...... Prost ! Steve.

Thanks Steve, my father had said this was his Great, Great Grandfathers from the early 1800's.
Regards, Grant.
