    Hi everyone.

This is my first post, so hope I am doing things right. I have been reading a lot of the posts on this forum, and enjoy it tremendously. However, I think it requires a warning that it is highly addictive, and that by visiting this site, militaria collecting becomes contageous.

I need information regarding my grandfather during his stay in the army in the 1910's, such as the units he was in, his rank and promotions, etc. I know very little as I grew up in South Africa and my grandparents being in Germany. I have made some scans which I will try to upload.

First is his Wehrpass and his Militaerpass. I have only scanned the pages containing entries

This is a picture of him and my grandmother on their wedding in 1923.

The medals I have of him (EK2 and Ehrenkreuz fuer Frontskaempfer). It seems he was also awarded the Dienstauszeichynung 2Kl. Is it possible for someone to post a scan of this medal as I have no idea how it looks like.

Any information will be appreciated. Just hope all scans are where they are supposed to be.

    Thanks

The Iron Cross 2nd class was made by Godet. It is one of the better made and slightly
    more sought after Eks.
