    G'day All

I have this set of Zeiss artillery scopes. What has me puzzled is that the stand is 1914 British made and is a perfect fit to the scopes, was it bought from Germany and issued to the British army before the hostilities began?
Are these a common set? and if anyone else has a set, I'd love to see them.
Any info on this set is most welcomed.

Wish I could help. I'm guessing that because of the lack of
responce, you've probably got one of the only surviving examples.

    It's a great piece

    Hi, Rene !

    Great piece !
I've seen them in use in photographs and period film footage.

I'm curious though as to why it has the 'flaming bomb' insignias on it if
it was meant for German use ? I've only ever seen this - mainly on
US and French artillery gear, and nations other than Germany.

Perhaps you are correct about it being from the inter-war period.

    Regards, Steve.

    G'day Steve

The bomb was on my thoughts also.
I did get this from a traditional auction (before the internet came along), so most likely from a deceased estate and from there I have no idea where they came from.
