Re: some medals i've been offered
I'm not good with WW1 medals and such, but these medals just don't look right.

Re: some medals i've been offered
Just my two bits, but the iron cros has 2 different crowns, the front and the back are different, seems odd to me.
The letters in the back of the EKI seems modern.

Re: some medals i've been offered
Eddy, again all bad, these and the other three previously shown are probably Baltic states/Polish copies......the EK I is trying to be a "KAG" marked piece, but instead its mark ends up looking like "KAC" !....a load of KAC ! Where are these up for sale ?
Prost ! Steve.

Re: some medals i've been offered
The initials 'KAG' look like they were done on a pantograph machine
and cut into the surface, not stamped. This makers mark is usually
seen on the pin. Nasty looking EKII, as Jean above says............!
Steve (Oradour) is correct.

Re: some medals i've been offered
Hi guys,
Thanks for all the comments! Steve, these where not on any site for sale, i've been offered these by a friend of mine. He didn't know if these where copies, he bought them many years ago. So thanks again for all the comments i know now to stay away from these badges!
greetings,
Eddy

Re: some medals i've been offered
I have no expetice on flight badges so I won't comment on it.
I can say that the 1914 Ek1 is fake. The 1870 Ek2 is fake as is the 1914 spange and the oakleaves. SORRY.
KAG crosses had a complete different style pin and were never marked like that. That particular
style was seen making it's way through ebay a few years ago. Some with the KAG mark and the
eagle stamp and others with only one or the other mark. BTW--you will never see an original
cross with that eagle stamp on it either.
The 1870 is a well known fake commonly called the "muffin" crown fake. These been floating around
for 10 years or so. They can be seen with all sorts of different types of attachments and with many
different makers marks.
