I can answer part of your question, but the handwriting is out of my league. He was, apparently, in the 2nd Reserve Infantry Regiment, 9th Company but saw war service in the 29th medical company, probably as a stretcher-bearer. The typed entry, Mitgemachte Gefechte lists the battles and fighting that he was in and the dates he was there, beginning on 17 February 1917.
17 Feb. 1917-1 Apr. 1917 in the trenches at Artois
2 Apr 1917-20 May 1917 New Year’s battle near Arras
21 May 1917-20 Aug. 1917 in the trenches at Artois
28 June 1917 engagement at Oppy
21 Aug. 1917-27 Aug. 1917 fighting near Lens
28 Aug. 1917-28 Feb. 1918 in the trenches at Artois and march to the major battle in France
21 March 1918-6 Apr. 1918 major battle in France
21 March-23 March 1918 breakthrough battle at Monchy-Cambrai and the attack on the Scarpe
7 Apr. 1918-8 Apr. 1918 in the trenches in French Flanders
9 Apr 191-18 Apr 1918 engagement near Armentières
19 Apr. 1918-3 June 1918 in the trenches in French Flanders
22 June 1918-4 July 1918 in the trenches between Oise, Aisne, and the Marne
5 July 1918-17 July 1918 in the trenches between Aisne, and the Marne
18 July 1918-25 July 1918 defensive battle between Soissons and Reims
26 July 1918-3 Aug. 1918 mobile defense battle between the Marne and Vesle
    4 Sept. 1918-10 Oct. 1918 ????
10 Oct.-1918-23 Oct. 1918 withdrawal to Aisne Terre
    I hope this helps. Dwight

WWIIBUFF: Could you post the pages that have the man's personal information; name, DOB, etc.? That would be a big help. Right now it appears that he was a reservist who was called up in 1915 and was moved among various infantry regiments during his initial service on active duty, and then settled into a medical unit for the duration. He is definitely a Bavarian. Dwight
