Never knew screw backs existed for this award, nor have I ever seen any in books. It's a fantastic looking piece. I wonder if examples of black and gold wound badges with a screw back exist?
Yes, they exist...They're also listed in both the Nimmergut and Niemann Guides...I also own a Gold Cut-Out Screwback...The Screwback Variants are the hardest to find though...
cheers, Glenn
Nice screwback, Glenn! A rare beauty like this in the cellophane surely gives you goosebumps!

I had to put on my sunglasses to tone done the SHINE on that beauty
That will make an excellent addition to your current collection

Nice find Glenn!!
Yes, buy the period originals look "a little bit" different. Most of them have Gegenplatte (back plate), also the screwdiscs are of different types (or two small discs). Your discs are in style used in 1940's for the Iron Cross or War Merit Cross. And (sorry) also for many postwar copies.

Those are interesting Variants, thanks for showing...
Good Thing that the Vast Majority of Reproductions we see offered still use the regular pin set-up...
cheers, Glenn
