    It looks to have been considerably polished, however. It's awfully shiny for a nearly 100 year old award.

    Yes it does gleam a little, however I hope this is a genuine piece that just happens to be in good condition, stranger things have happened, and even if it is'nt it has'nt exactly broken the bank, Thanks for the opinion.
