    Default Wappen question

I purchased this plate many many years ago (in the early 60's), paying about $3 (USD) for it. The main reason I purchased it was I needed a guard star for another wappen I had that was missing one. I cut the split pin legs in order to remove the star, thinking I would replace the original loops and mount it on the other plate. I should say, that at the time I believed this to be a put together plate as I had no information of a Wurttemberg plate ever having a Prussian Guard Star on it.
After removing the star I discovered that the split pin is the only means of attachment on the star, there were no signs of anything else ever being there. Somewhere in my travels I read that candidates to the NCO academy wore the guard star affixed to their own wappen. Would like some learned opinons on this wappen.
    Thanks

I seldom see Wurtemberg pieces so I have no idea about it's
authenticity but I like the looks of this one. One of the helmet
guys should be along shortly to comment.
