    Thanks for posting these threads.
We often see period paintings or postcards that show
these uniforms and helmets but I think this is the first
time I have seen good photos of the actual pieces.

    Well done.

Hi WS, Thanks for your pic, very nice. More pics from me too, I have the black type which did not come out to well, the Guarde De corps uniform and my favourite field uniform which is the best. Also a Naval uniform !!! with outstanding embroidery, may be one tomorrow.
I can remember being offered his summer white peak cap years ago for £1,200.00, it was liberated from Spa, not far from you.

    Hello SK,
we have here Huis Doorn: see, Huis Doorn
There he lived in exile after WWI. I must admit I have never been there,
    but who knows?

In my aiguillette-book I showed a few photographs of Wilhelm. However
this book was purely related to TR aiguillettes.

Have a great weekend. Best regards,
    wilhelm

    Hi

    Greta pics.

Huis Doorn is well worth a visit, it is preserved as it was the day he died, in fact he is buried in the garden !

The tour of the house is a throw back to how the Kaiser and elite of his day lived, all his personal effect are in the place and the guide tells you stories if what he did and how he entertained whilst in exile.

It has some of his uniforms on display.

    recommended to all.

    cheers

    Tony
