Hello guys could you take alook at this bayo i,m thinking of buying .
The guy wants 110 pounds.It,s a ww1 early short g98 double marked and dated 1916 .Is it what he says and is the price about right.Thanks Paul.

Hi, this is an S14 model,the blade was made by Pieper in Belgium,hence the Bayard trademark.It was then hilted by Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen.It is not as common as other WW1 bayonets,I would pay the asking price for it.Info is from John Walter`s book: The German Bayonet:

The blade is in wrong position in bard, i dont believe its S14 looks more like SG84/98nA as the blade looks like 250mm. best regards,Andy

Hi Andy,you are right,as usual ,the S14 would be 300mm and have square fullers.

Thanks is very similar shape, the dimension of blade is the point.
