Anyone know if these are regimental marks on the scabbard and if so what unit?

Bavarian 16th Infantry Regiment. Company 7. Weapon 181.

Kgl. Bayerisches 16. Infanterie-Regiment Großherzog Ferdinand von Toskana

Part of Bavarian 1st Division.

The scabbard pre-dates the bayonet. By 1917 they were issued with all steel versions.

8th Royal Bavarian Chevau-légers (Königlich Bayerisches Chevaulegers-Regiment Nr. 8) Squadron/Eskadron No 2. The last number, which I can't read, is the individual weapon number.

A light cavalry regiment of the Royal Bavarian Army. The regiment was formed in 1905 and fought in World War I. The regiment was disbanded in 1919.
