    Can anyone tell me what the markings mean on a ww1 German dog tag means, DIEDRICH, AUGUST (TOP ROW), COLDHAM, BENGUM, 28.8.94(SECOND ROW) 1.E.M.G.K.X.A.K. 4/306 (THIRD ROW) any help would be appreciated.

    Well certainly the name is the man's name, and the 28.8.94 is his birthdate (28. August, 1894), and the unit could be 1. Ersatz MG Kompanie X Armee-Korps? I'm not as up on WWI markings as WWII...
    Ohhhhh- pillage then burn...
