Absotively posolutely. In other words, yes.

Very interesting, original to WW1 camo painting and the bands for attaching sprigs and other greenery are not often seen. Thanks for showing it to us.

Of course, others may have different opinions.........

Sorry this is NOT an original ECO helmet.

At best it is an original M18 that has been reworked to add the cut-out. I have serious doubts on the basket, paint and leather also. One to avoid.

It will be interesting to hear opinions on this. It dosn't look right to me at all, but I am not an expert.

Edit, I am emboldened by Kradspams comments. This helmet just looks fake to me. The liner looks like a reproduction, and in fact I dont like any of it.

Very curious, I don't like the inside edge.
I never saw such camo in metal for a WWI helmet!

I have a strange feeling for this piece.

Seems the condition of the liner doesn't mach with the condition of the shell.

With that much rust pitting, but the liner still in that condition. I think the liner is artificially aged.

    Really suspicious...

    Taka

On the second picture, you have a lot of rust and the leather is in good condition ?
For me the shell is not original, perhaps made in Afghanistan.

    Exactly Taka!

This helmet certainly does not give me a warm, fuzzy feeling. On face value I would pass on it.

I cautiously agree with Kradspam...a re-worked M18. We've seen such "modifications" here before...The inside edges/rim just don't look right, liner appears scrubbed...someone really made an effort on this lid...
    cheers, Glenn

compare the shape of the cut out to this original!...
It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.
