    It's Franz Josef's signature.....but aside from that, not too much else is legible(at least, not to My cataract fogged old eyes...) For sure, though, a Very nice cup-I like it!

    Thanks william , the only few cups I could find on google had no inscription , so maybe it's one of franz Josef's famous quotes , not entirely sure .
