This trench grenade has a wire clip to attach to a belt and a fuse on the tip. The grenade is machined to blow into a lot of sharp shrapnel chunks. The grenade length is 4.5” with total length of 12”.

This is an Austrian Zeitzunder grenade from WW1.
This type of HG have a "sister" ...a rifle grenade also...
