Adept,...over the past couple of years I have developed an interest in the campaign in Romania, especially the period after the declaration of war by the Romanians to the fall/surrender of Bucharest, in late 1916. I have obtained a few mementos from around that period for my collection, but it is difficult to obtain here in the U.K. despite the internet. I have a period book published immediatly after the campaign in 1917, entitled 'With a Bavarian Division in Romania' and a couple of photos taken by German troops during there travels, one shows a military funeral somewhere in the Carpathians, the other a splendid shot of the 'Predeal Pass' in the Transylvanian Alps.

    Thanks Guys for the info.

    Glad it's of interest.

    1€ well spent.

I left the rest as they were normal portriats of the Kaiser and the hierarchy etc.

I will get them next time if there is interest.

stuka f, need better photograph....brighter/clearer....at first I thought reproduction, as I am not a fan of the rear ''flat'' type pins, original ones I have seen had the ''round'' pins....however heres a current ''repro'' from germany. An original would have had the leaves painted green as on the repro.
