Default WWI Prussian Army Pilot Badge

    Hello all,

Came across this WWi german army pilots badge. The details seem to be little dull and crude. The back seems to have signs of a casting. However, since I'm not an expert in anyway, I wanted to see if I can get opinions on the authenticity of the badge.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

Looks like it's made of cast Lead. Nothing even close to any originals I've ever seen or handled.

As my former wife would say: 'That's just nasty'.

Of course William put it a little more diplomatically.

Well the guy may not be lying. It could be from a private collection and it could be silver alloy pewter. But it still doesn't make it legit. LoL.

Good choice vetting it here first.

I purchased mine knowing it was a fake, I used it as part of a display with some model airplanes.
