Default WWI soldier cap & uniform identification help

Hello - need help identifying the country/area of origin of this solider's uniform. It was taken between 1918-1919. We believe the location to be WWI soldier cap & uniform identification helpsomewhere in the former Prussian or Austro-Hungary territory. Much appreciated if you have any insight.

I would suggest doing a nice 1200 DPI scan, re-posting the full one, and then cropping both a detail of the cap and the bayonet in two other separate image attachments.

This will work better than posting multiple threads in multiple sections.

Once the members at least have an idea of ID, I'll move the thread to the proper section.

Thanks and welcome. We are glad to help.

    Cheers,
    Richie
