Default WWI Verwundetenabzeichen - Wound Badges.........

I picked up these WWI black-grade wound badges over the past year or so.
From what I can see, all three are unmarked. Think they are ok, but
wanted opinions on them just to be sure. I can take straight on
shots of any particular one if needed.

Nice thing is that they are relatively inexpensive.........

A little concerned about the one on the right. It has a bronze/brass look,
and I cannot see a trace of any black, silver or gold finish. I like the
top one for it's 'economic' one-piece constrruction.........

    Hello Steve
Possibly stripped of paint a long time ago & a natural patina has formed?
I don't really know but the details look good. As for the top one, it looks like
the DRGM marked ones without the DRGM.

    Regards
    Brett

I've heard that because of shortages in late WWII, the thing to do was
to wear black-grade tombac brass badges with no paint whatsoever
to represent gold grade types - I wonder if that is the case here ?
There was a deep economic depression on over there
    after WWI........

    Steve.
