Best wait for Fisher, Stewy or Ralph. As I am still studying these and learning as I go.
That said, it is not one I have seen and could find no comparable examples here with a "4" marked pin. Although it certainly resembles a ShuCo design.
But can you tell me what it is made out of? Is it magnetic? Maybe my eyes it looks like it could be stamped steel?
There is an ShuCo 4 vein example that is made out of stamped steel that looks very similar, down to what appears to be the rear hardware... but some of the characteristics are slightly different (to my learning eyes). Example, on yours I do not see the "single vein" in the oak leaf right above the butt of the rifle stock. (in Red Box). And in the Blue box, the vein does not extend on yours as far.
Maybe it is just wear?? Or maybe a variant not in my reference books? (they are static as we know).
As said, best wait for the guys above to provide their opinions....my thoughts are just "observations".
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

An interesting question. Is the number four something you see, or something the seller states? Its difficult to make out on the pictures. I'm only curious as I would think if it were a single number it would be an LDO number, and 4 would be S&L not SHuCO if that were the case. But it could be nothing as I cannot find an example of either maker with a marked pin, which is a curiosity to me. However I found IAB's with marked pins I'll post a pic from a previous thread with one attributed to P&L(for what it's worth). Anyhow I'm curious to learn so I ll wait and see what those more experienced have to say on the matter. Best of luck
Brian
