good details,imo original.
Resoldered pin and catch?
Hi Alex
Congrats on your third Infanterie Sturmabzeichen...
This one is a purported Berg & Nolte A.-G., Lüdenscheid example.
Most of the finish has faded with time; a common characteristic of the B&NL hollow examples.
There are also B&NL solid zinc variants with this same obverse design of your hollow.
The hinge and catch are original and have not been repaired.
For some reason the frosted finish sticks better to the excess solder around the hardware than the base zinc material and can give the impression it has been reattached.
A textbook example of one of the lesser known Infanterie Sturmabzeichen's and a maker I am fond of.
Nice addition Alex!
Best Regards, fischer
Thanks for sharing , fantastic specimen
