    Hi guys,

I have been offered four Infantry Assault badges as part of a collection of Third Reich militaria.

I have also been told this badge is original but I could please get a second opinion.

    Thank you, Glen.

I can't tell if it's a 4 or 5 vein variant with that pic, does the hardware help tell which????

    Hi Guys

This maker marked ShuCo is a (4) vein example and hardware will not help differentiate between the two.
Like set ups were used on both variations.

Without seeing the 1R leaf position, we can still compare vein patterns and tell which variant we are looking at.

Comparing the 2L, 3L and 4L leaf vein patterns, differences can be found.
The side examples below are maker marked ShuCo ISA's.

Unmarked ShuCo Design ISA's vary further from the two mm ShuCo's...but that is another discussion.

    Best regards, fischer
