Hi Guys

Thought I would share my newest addition.

These examples are referred to as the "Cut-Out's" and are purportedly manufactured by the maker Paul Meybauer.
Who actually produced these is still a bit of a mystery IMO. Hopefully, further proof will be found.

I do like these early badges and was happy to get this one.

Please enlighten us as to why these are referred to as "Cut outs" since the swastika is definately not cut out.

This type of "cut out" is even rarer, due to it not being "cut out". Still has the missing leaf though, between the strap & rifle butt. Nice find mate. Stewy

Like some of the other ISA "families" (i.e. Vienna, Gablonz, etc.) this one belongs to the "Cut Out" family due to "like" details.
It does not have a cut out swastika but, as Stewy states it does have the missing leaf between the Kar98k and the sling.
Also, the wreath leaf outline and the vein patterns are also very similar.

Another point, the cut outs are done by hand and it appears each badge was at the discretion of the craftsmen doing the work.

Here is one I have that is more of a traditional type of cut out.
