Re: Infanterie Sturmabzeichen Badge Marked "G": Authentic piece?
Hello
From these pics there is no way to tell if the badge is original or fake.
As for the maker mark "G" I have never seen this before. Was the letter stamped into the back of the badge?
From reading your description I think there are two possibilities;
1. An original badge with a maker mark added to enhance the value.
2. The badge and the mm are fake.
Best Regards, fischer

Hi Adam,
I completely agree with fischer, the pics are way too bad to make any sort of guess.
Another possibility - was the 'G' definitely a 'G'? Any chance it might have been something else? I've seen on many occasions makers marks and stamps being misread, especially if they're faint. (I'm not doubting what you say, just want to be completely clear. )
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Re: Infanterie Sturmabzeichen Badge Marked "G": Authentic piece?
Thanks, guys! I was pretty certain these photos were going to be worthless. If I swing back by there I'll try again. It definitely had the letter g in the middle of the back, though.
Best,
Adam
