    Default Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Bronze

    Yet another,
Iím pretty sure it was made by Friedrich Linden and was a bronze badge. I did not see any examples with this exact pin & catch but I did read a post on the forum that led me to believe that this company used a fair amount of pin and catch variations. I was also hoping someone could tell me if itís a early, mid or late war badge.
As always any help would be very much appreciated.

    Hi Kirby

This one is a purported FLL example. Linden produced a gamut of Infanterie Sturmabzeichen's starting with the high quality nickel silver (NS) examples, changing to a zinc hollow design, to a solid zinc model with hardware soldered in place, a solid design with the hardware crimped in place and finally back to a zinc hollow design.

Your example with the small block hinge and directly soldered "?" style catch like the NS examples used, is considered to the earlier of the FLL zinc hollows.

    Best regards, fischer
