Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Bronze, Hymmen - Tombak
Thought I would show off my latest addition.
This ISA resided in a good friends collection for years but has now come to stay with me for awhile.
Very difficult to find IMO. Most of the examples that claim to be bronze are in fact just worn or thoroughly cleaned silver grades.
Another one I can check off of the "Ole Wanted List".
Best Regards, fischer

I love Hymmen combat badges and their, how should I put it, "quirky" appearance besides their comparative rarity, especially in this condition. I agree with Ralph, good things come to he who waits eh fischer.....???
'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.
Last Entry - For God's sake look after our people.'
In memory of Capt. Robert Falcon Scott, Edward Wilson, Henry Bowers, Lawrence Oates and Edgar Evans. South Pole Expedition, 30th March 1912.
Here is a family pic of my Tombak Hollow Hymmen ISA's.
Best regards, fischer
is the hollow version of medals aka tombac?
please forget my question. "The hollow design badge is executed in 'buntmetall' (tombac)".
nice badges : )
