Hello IMO I think it is original, it has good detail, construction and patina. If you look through this previous thread which discusses a fake of this design, Fischer explains a feature an original hollow Vienna design badge exhibits (leaf blade between the sling and gun stock) which your example has; plus it has the sheet metal hinge. Please wait for other opinions but I think it stands a good chance. Best regards.

Her is my solid "Vienna design" to compare the details. It exhibits the same "leaf blade" between the sling and gun stock.
