Looking for following WWII German items:
    - anything dealing with Allenstein (Olsztyn) and Wehrkreis I in East Prussia,
    - entrenching tool carrier (straight and folding),
    - forestry and hunting items,

It's an original badge. I can't help with the maker though. The oval crimp hinge reminds me of a Steinhauer & Luck but the obverse doesn't match any I've come across. Stewy or Fischer will be able to enlighten us I hope.

    IMHO,
This one would be a deformed leaf, vertical crimp, attributed to Deumer.

    I agree with Ralph.

Here's my deformed leaf 'Deumer' for comparison.
