    It appears to be an original E. Ferdinand Wiedmann with a lily pad hinge.

    Hi Curt

    Ralph is spot on and this E. Ferd Wiedmann with lily pad hinge matches the database example...both have the identical wreath leaf outline/vein pattern.

    This Wiedmann obverse design can also be found with the wide pin EK style hardware.

    Thank you very much for the responses! I had a lot of doubt on this one, the dealer I purchased it from sold me a couple other medals that were reproductions, I didn't know it till I posted them here a few months ago. So I just put this medal in the Reproduction cigar box! I still have lots to learn. LOL
