Default Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber, FLL Design, Type 1

A new addition to my IAB collection.
If I read fischer's analysis properly, this is a Type 1, hollow zinc, Friedrich Linden, Ludenscheid design IAB.
This example retains most of it's original finish.
    Hope you like it.
    Ralph.

    Sweet Ralph!!!

I really want a hollow back like this one day. Im not a "type" collector but still want one.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

You will still have to decide which design you would prefer.

    Hi Ralph,
that is a nice addition to your collection.
I do like fischer's analysis of the FLL hollow bronze types.
You will note that your obverse design is classed as the type 1 and has the short barrel hing and the ? hook.
Mine is classed as obverse design 3 but sporting the same hardware as yours…Interesting stuff.

    Nice addition Ralph,

Like Michael I am not a type collector and for me it is all about the individual badge when making my choices. I have several hollow types but not an FLL (My FLL badges are all solid). However, I would have trouble leaving this one on the table

Fischer is certainly the IAB specialist of choice to my mind so I expect he will be along shortly to give his critique!

    Regards

This one would have been difficult for me to say no to.

Lovely example! How many Infanterie Sturmabzeichen does this make now in your collection?
