    Default Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber, GWL, Gebruder Wegerhoff, Ludenscheid

    With fischer's assistance, I was able to add this example to my IAB collection recently.
    There is not that much silver finish remaining but, it is a good example of one that I have been looking for for some time now. (I think there are still a few others that I need).

    Great badge, Ralph. As everyone probably knows, GWL is my favorite maker. Their details and quality is easily equal, in my opinion, to anything that Godet or Juncker ever produced. Just look at the rifle and bayonet on this piece and compare it to an Assman or one of the other common makers. I always thought it would be a hell of a collection to focus only on GWL badges! Nice pick up!

    That would be a collection to see! Their quality of Infanterie Sturmabzeichen's is in my opinion far better than Assman or ShuCo by a long shot. Although there are a few others that I like more, there are many that I do not.
    Still a fan of anything made by K&Q and Deumer.
