Looks like a very good mid war JFS 3.01. These are very common.
I can't see from the pictures but the pin should have a crimp mark on the top right over the ball hinge.
( of course my knowledge is coming straight from Sascha Weber's book. Something you should look into if you are going to be collecting these)

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Thanks Michael, it s not mine, it s from a pal, but wanted to get some insight, not into collecting these
Hello Jamoros
This one is a "Josef Fiex Sohne, Gablonz" solid zink ISA and probably produced sometime between 1943-44.
It looks to be a very nice silver grade with the chrome-type Glanzverzinkt coating.
It has the typical Ball Hinge hardware; this was the set up of choice that most Gablonz badge makers used.
In regards to rarity, I would agree with Michael if this were a commonly encountered minty, bronze grade JFS.
But, being a silver grade, this variant is less prevalent than it's familiar bronze relative.
Best Regards, fischer
