I'm in trouble with this Infanterie Sturmabzeichen with maker "R.S.S".

Can you help to spot if it's a fake or a genuine one? It looks like this one, but the catch pin is not the same...

It appears to be an original Richard Simm & Sohne with a replaced catch.

Just take big, clear photos.
It's Staegemeir's fakes. Look for identical marks (bubbles, dents, nodules).

I do not think that somewhere there is a complete base of its fakes. It is necessary to search in various forums in fake bases.

The super close pics tell it all on the cast fakes, they leave no doubt. A good microscopes is a big investment, I watch sometimes the strong opinioned "Micro Macro" you tube channel for this insight. Can't bring a microscope to a show though.
