Article about: Hello, Just got this today and I dont know id it is real. Medals is not my fields, so any help would be appreiated : ) I have another Inf.Stm.Abz in a different post. Same problem : )

    The head looks rarther strange, could it be poor condition? or poor design?

    I agree with Hans, this one is a semi-hollow example of the "H" Infanterie Sturmabzeichen.

    The designation comes from a raised "H" marking on the reverse of the hollow version, just right of the berry band. These can also be found in solid zinc as well.
    To date, the maker is still unknown, all are made from zinc and all (hollow, semi-hollow & solid) are considered scarce with the solids the toughest to track down.
